As the marketing director for Girl Scouts of Western Washington, I help empower awesome young women and head up projects like the #ForEVERYGirl campaign. Previously, I led content and community development for the tech startup Inside Jobs (acquired by Chegg). My writing has appeared in over 50 print and online venues, including The Guardian, The Chicago Tribune, The Seattle Times, and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.

Drove marketing strategy across all of Girl Scouts of Western Washington's online platforms. Highlights:

  • Led online marketing for the #ForEVERYGirl crowdfunding campaign, which raised over $300K in three days
  • Managed all social media accounts—increased online customer engagement over 600% for our Girl Scout Cookie campaign within three months of joining the team
  • Oversaw a cross-departmental team to restructure email marketing—boosted open rates 10%
  • Spearheaded a complete overhaul of our website—including managing a cross-department project team, developing content and governance, and leading organization-wide trainings


Inside Jobs (Acquired by CHEGG) | October 2011 - October 2013

Directed content and community strategy for Inside Jobs, a career exploration tech startup. Responsible for content development, editorial partnerships, SEO, social media, and email marketing. Highlights:

  • Led team of 15 freelancers to produce over 5,000 pieces of original content
  • Successfully pitched articles to 50+ websites to generate 120,000 new visitors
  • Managed seven social media platforms as the face/voice of the Inside Jobs brand
  • Launched the Inside Jobs blog—increased traffic from 200 to 10,000+ unique weekly visitors in less than three months

Created and executed digital marketing strategy to expand the Inside Jobs community. Highlights

  • Developed social media strategy and analytics tracking for three platforms—increasing social media community by 330% in three months

  • Connected with 100+ journalists, career experts, and youth empowerment organizations to build the Inside Jobs community

  • Launched guest blogging strategy, resulting in articles on 25+ websites including AOL Jobs, Reader’s Digest, Brazen Careerist, Simply Hired, and The Guardian
